Merrychef & TurboChef Commercial Oven Repairs
CES Wellington are service agents for Merrychef and TurboChef. We repair and service both brands of high-speed oven across Wellington.
High-speed ovens we repair
Merrychef and TurboChef are the rapid-cook ovens in cafés, bars and quick-service kitchens. When one stops, the orders stop with it. CES Wellington are service agents for both. Tell us the brand, the model and serial number from the rating plate, and whether the oven is showing a code.
For other ovens, see commercial oven repair. For a regular visit, see commercial oven servicing.
Common faults
- Magnetron faults. The oven runs but food comes out cool, or it trips part-way through a cook cycle.
- No heat. The cycle starts and nothing cooks.
- Fan or impingement faults. A noisy, slow or stopped fan, so the hot air no longer moves across the food.
- Door interlock faults. The oven will not start because the door does not read as closed.
- Error codes. Write the code down, or photograph the display, before you switch the oven off.
Leave the panels on. There are live parts inside. If you smell burning or the oven is tripping the power, switch it off at the wall or isolator if it is safe to do so, and call us.
Planned maintenance
A planned visit catches tired parts before a service. Every 4 months or six-monthly is ideal. If the kitchen trades 7 days or runs early to late, quarterly visits may suit better. High-speed ovens can sit on the same schedule as the rest of the kitchen. See planned maintenance or request a maintenance quote.
