What Blue Seal equipment do you work on?

Blue Seal Turbofan convection ovens are the machines we maintain on a planned schedule, the stacked ovens you see beside a fryer on a cookline. A check of how the oven is running, early warning of parts that need attention, and a plain explanation of what we found. Typical reasons to call sooner are uneven baking, a noisy fan, or an oven that is slow to heat. Planned visits are quarterly or six-monthly, depending on how hard the oven works. Who does Blue Seal repairs?

Factory-trained technicians. Our technicians are registered electrical and gas technicians, so a gas fault and an electrical fault can be handled in one visit. You get a service report for each piece of equipment, with gas or electrical certification as required.

How fast is a Blue Seal breakdown attended?

Same-day response and emergency response within two hours, with breakdown cover 7 days, across Greater Wellington, the Wairarapa and Manawatū, including Palmerston North, Levin, Foxton and Pahiatua. The office is open Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5:00pm, with after-hours cover on all 7 days.

What should we do if a Blue Seal pilot will not stay lit?

Do not keep relighting it. A pilot that will not stay lit can be a thermocouple or a gas supply fault. Turn the appliance off and call our registered gas technicians. If you smell gas, do not use electrical switches nearby, clear people, and call your gas supplier's emergency line or 111 from outside before you call us.
