What Rational equipment do you repair?

Rational combi ovens. A combi cooks with steam, dry heat, or both, and in many kitchens it carries a large share of the menu. The Rational ovens we see include the iCombi Classic. My Rational oven shows Service 25 or Service 34. What does that mean?

These service messages usually point to issues like the steam generator, water supply or descaling, which we can diagnose on site. We do not quote a single meaning for the code unless it is clear on your machine. Note the code, take a photo of the display, and call 0800 90 60 30. Do not remove panels.

How often should a Rational combi be descaled?

It depends on water hardness and how much steam the oven uses. A kitchen that steams all day on hard water will need descaling sooner than one that mostly uses dry heat. Planned maintenance is quarterly or six-monthly, and we will recommend a schedule for your oven. Descaling, cleaning and a general check-over are the usual visit. Who works on the oven, and what do we get in writing?

Factory-trained technicians. They are registered electrical and gas technicians, so a gas Rational and an electric Rational are both in scope. You get a service report for each oven, with gas or electrical certification as required. Further work is priced before we do it.

How fast can you attend a Rational breakdown?

Same-day response and emergency response within two hours, with breakdown cover 7 days, across Greater Wellington, the Wairarapa and Manawatū, including Palmerston North, Levin, Foxton and Pahiatua. The office is open Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5:00pm, with after-hours cover on all 7 days.

How do I book Rational combi service?

Call 0800 90 60 30 or book a job. Tell us how urgent it is, whether the oven is gas or electric, and the model and serial number from the rating plate. A photo of the message on the display helps us arrive ready.
