Before you call

A few quick checks can sometimes get you going again, and they help us fix the fault faster when we do come out. Safety first: never take panels off, and never work on gas or wiring yourself. If you smell gas, turn the gas off at the isolation valve, open the doors and call us straight away.

Quick checks before you call. Still stuck? Call 0800 90 60 30.

All equipment

  • Is the power on at the wall and at the isolator switch?
  • Has a breaker tripped? If it trips again, leave it off and call us.
  • Is the gas valve on?
  • Are there any error codes on the display? Write down the code or take a photo of it.

Dishwashers and glasswashers

  • Is the water tap on?
  • Are the filters and wash arms clean and sitting properly?
  • Are the chemical containers full, with the pickup tubes in?
  • Is the door shut all the way?

Combi and convection ovens

  • Is the door closing and sealing properly?
  • If it's a combi, is the water supply on?
  • Does the display show a code? Note it down.

Fryers, ranges and gas gear

  • Is the gas valve on, and is the extraction running? Some gear won't light without extraction.
  • Does the pilot light stay lit? If it doesn't, don't keep trying. Call us.

When you call, have this handy

  • The brand and model. These are usually on a plate on the side or back of the unit.
  • What it's doing, or not doing.
  • Any error code, plus a photo if you can.
