Why hard water and scale cause problems
In Kitchen Talk Episode 4, Robbo and Kiri talk about water. Minerals in hard water build up as scale on heating elements, wash and rinse jets and pumps. Scale makes elements work harder, blocks jets and leaves glasses and cutlery spotty, so staff end up polishing by hand.

When CES Wellington services a commercial dishwasher or glasswasher, we check your water treatment as part of the job, and let you know if a filter or membrane needs changing.
Reverse osmosis, carbon and BWT filters
- Reverse osmosis for polish-free glasses and cutlery
- Carbon pre-filters to protect the reverse osmosis membrane from chlorine
- BWT filters, such as BWT bestclear, on the hot supply
